About Us
It’s been a lifelong ambition for Sam Goyette to manage his own stud and apply a wealth of knowledge to deliver the highest of standards. In 2024, all of the hard work and planning has come to fruition with Sam and partner Kinsey officially launching Oakhurst Stud.
Sam Goyette
Sam’s dedication to horses began at a young age. His professional career commenced in hunt service, laying a strong foundation in equine management.
Sam’s interests evolved as he entered the sales circuit, where he discovered a passion for the stud and breeding aspects of the racing industry. This led him to join Salcey Forest Stud and with considerable pin-hooking success, this sparked his ambition to run his own stud in the future. His commitment was furthered through the completion of the National Stud course, where he earned the prestigious Best Practical Award.
Sam continued to enhance his skills by working with industry leaders, including Richard Brown at Blandford Bloodstock and gaining valuable foaling experience at Juddmonte. Most recently, he was assistant manager at Overbury Stud primarily overseeing and managing the stallions.
In a significant career leap, Sam has now established Oakhurst Stud, where he aims to apply his extensive experience and passion for breeding.
Kinsey Petyt

Her career became focussed on Marketing and Communications however, horses have always been a huge part of her life with an ever-growing interest and passion in racing.
